Our Story

It started with a question, long before the feed.

In 1997, before MySpace, before Facebook, before anyone said the words “social media,” one idea kept surfacing: the internet could be a place to keep a life, not just spend an afternoon.

The web took a different road. It learned to hold our attention and sell it, a few seconds at a time. Posts were built to be seen now and forgotten by morning. Somewhere in the rush, the older promise got lost — that what we put online might outlast us, and reach the people we love when they need it most.

We kept coming back to the same image. A grandchild, decades from now, trying to picture who you were and finding almost nothing — a profile frozen mid-scroll, a few photos with no one left to explain them. We had spent our own evenings doing the same thing with our grandparents, piecing a person together from a birth year and a blurry face. It never felt like enough.

Eternem is our answer. It is not a better feed. It is a different kind of place — one built to keep your voice, your stories, and your presence, and to deliver them across years and generations on your terms. We call the category Eternal Media: everything social media isn't built to be.

What is Eternal Media?

Social media is built for attention — for likes, followers, and an algorithm that decides what you see. Eternal Media is built for meaning. There is no feed and no audience of strangers. You create time-locked capsules of your stories, photos, and voice, and you choose exactly who opens them and when. It is the difference between performing a life and preserving one.

Our Mission

To let every person share their true story and stay connected to the people they love — across generations, and across time.

Our Vision

A world where no life quietly disappears — where being truly known by the people who come after you is something everyone can leave behind.

What we believe

Permanence over virality

We measure success in decades, not in likes. Everything we build is designed to still matter to your great-grandchildren.

Privacy is the architecture

No feed, no ads, no data mining. Every capsule is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Your memories are never the product.

You hold the keys

You decide who sees what, and when. A story can wait years for the right moment, the right person, the right place.

Memory is for everyone

The core of Eternem is free, because the right to be remembered shouldn't depend on what you can pay.

The people building it

We're a small team of engineers, designers, and storytellers working out of Maitland, Florida, with collaborators around the world. We come from products built for billions of users — and we left to build something meant to last longer than any of them. If that's the kind of work you want to do, we'd love to hear from you at hello@eternem.com.
